Warehouse Material Handler

Job Description

Perform day-to-day activities of inspecting consumer electronics and computer equipment. Other duties include organizing and maintaining inventory, picking and packing orders, cleaning and organizing personal and team workspace, meeting sortation/inspection deadlines and shipping schedules.

Responsibilities

• Sort items by model and type
• Perform initial inspection for visual defects
• Inspect and test equipment for basic functionality
• Key in or scan data into proprietary ERP
• Pick and prepare orders for shipment according to schedule (pick, pack, wrap, label, ship)
• Communicate with supervisors and coworkers
• Report any discrepancies

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years' work experience in a warehouse, order fulfillment, or manufacturing facility
• Proven working experience as a warehouse worker in a fast-paced environment
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to lift heavy objects (<50 lbs.)
• Experience reading shipping paperwork
• Work efficiently with computers and basic hand tools
• Regularly lift, push, carry, and otherwise manipulate assets weighing 10–50 pounds throughout the workday, and must stand, bend, and walk for up to 8 hours at a time
• Experience in ITAD (IT Asset Disposition) preferred
• Forklift experience preferred

Additional Information

• Salary: $13.00 to $15.00 / hour
• No Benefits
• Hours are M–F 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM; must be available for overtime and weekends as requested
